The Northwest YMCA has two 8 week, women-only tri training programs. From Sept through May, we conduct off-season conditioning classes specifically geared toward triathlon.
Our programs are for all skill levels. We cater to the beginner triathlete but have a number of podium finishers and the coaching experience to take you to the next level.

Texas Iron Multsiport’s training programs are engineered to see you confidently through the multisport season, and beyond. Their programs offer a combination of relevant instruction by veteran coaches with a challenging workout schedule to help you attain your triathlon goals. Coached group workouts focus on education and form correction allowing athletes to develop their muscular endurance and aerobic capacity in a supportive environment. Detailed workout plans provide instruction and guidance for the remainder of each week’s training, as well as access to the coaches for feedback and modifications. Capital of Texas Team Survivor (CTTS) was formed in 1995 by four brave women who jumped out of their water exercise class into a full triathlon. Since 2001, CTTS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping women cancer survivors build a sense of power and accomplishments as they recover from their cancer experience. CTTS offers free educational exercise programs for women of all fitness levels in every stage of cancer treatment and recovery. These inspirational programs allow women to regain control of their bodies, their health and their lives.
Tri Zones Training offers camaraderie that can’t be matched anywhere in Austin. They provide a nurturing, supportive environment with a YOU GO GIRL! spirit at all workouts. They are USAT-certified coaches who know about working with beginners and have been part of the Danskin Triathlon Series since 2000.
Tri Zones offers a 10-week training program with coached workouts in pool swims, open water swims, cycling, running, and transitions. They also offer extensive FREE resources for beginners, including a weekly training newsletter, “You Can TRI” seminar series, Beginners Corner, and discussion forum. Team In Training is a sports training program that trains participants to complete half marathons, marathons, cycle century rides, hikes and triathlons. TNT participants raise money to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. In exchange for their fundraising efforts, team members receive professional training by experienced coaches, a trip to the event destination (including airfare, ground transportation, hotel, race entry, a pre-race pasta party and a post-race victory party), and the knowledge that the money raised will help toward finding cures for blood cancers!

Austin T3 specializes in year-round, group triathlon training for adults looking to stay fit or excel in the sport of triathlon. With more than 20 coached practices each week (swim/bike/run/core), T3 offers the most flexible training schedule in town! All T3 Training Programs maintain a heavy emphasis on technique and efficiency and are managed to include all levels of athletes – to teach the beginner, motivate the intermediate and challenge the advanced athletes within the same practice.
