EVENT DESCRIPTION
Whether you are a swimmer looking for a well supported open water event, or a triathlete interested in being part of the Sub-17 Series… the SECOND CHANCE SWIM is the event for you!
The 2nd Chance Swim will be held at Mansfield Dam – conveniently located in Lakeway.
Choose from either the 800 meter, 1.2 mile or 2.4 mile distance courses.
The SWIM is contained within the Swim Cove at Mansfield Dam Park – plenty of parking and a great, shaded venue area, where athletes will receive attention Advanced Rehab, hydration support for NUUN, nutritious snacks from Simply Fit Meals, water bottles from Pure Austin Fitness and adult beverages - for your post-swim
enjoyment.
Special awards for 1st place in each distance – men & women. Awards will be presented approximately 30 minutes a\er the final swimmer is out of water.
Come out to the 2nd Chance Swim for the Red Licorice Events experience…and a final crack at the Sub-17 Series!
The Open Water Swim 2 is the Open Water Option for the ASSLC Splash for Cash 2010

CANCELLATION POLICY
There are no refunds. Registered athletes unable to participate will be allowed to transfer their entry to another athlete and/or event distance up until 30 days prior to the event date. There is a $20 transfer fee. Athletes are required to notify the race director in writing or e-mail to request a transfer form. The race director reserves the right to decline a transfer request. Admission to the Park is $3 per bike in or walk in or $10 per car Bring your bike to the Park and ride it on in to the Swim Cove!

WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLAN
In the event of foul weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. We reserve the right to cancel the race entirely if conditions are unsafe. No refunds for weather related cancellation of event.
PACKET PICK-UP
LOCATION
Packet Pickup & Registration will be held at the retail location of our wonderful bike / triathlon sponsor – Jack & Adams. Jack & Adams Bicycles is located at 1210 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, TX 78704

Friday, July 16 - Packet Pickup: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
USAT PACKET PICKUP REGULATIONS
All athletes MUST have photo ID and proof of USAT membership, or purchase one day USAT pass, in order to pick up packet. No exceptions. Annual USA Triathlon membership fee is $39 (12 month period) or $10 for one day pass.
All athletes must pickup their own packets. Per USAT rules, you may not pickup a packet for anyone other than yourself. All Relay team members must be present together in order to pickup packets.
